Tex - might want to post on the HAMB or on a Mustang forum.
Spent an hour or so with FI Tech at SEMA last year, and they are the best IMO. Would suggest you work with them on this as well. ...

James - if converted to 12 volt, the Bosch blue coil is the way to go - internally resisted.

Separate the wires coming out of the fuse as mentioned. Had the same problem with my 49. It was the wiring junction at the left rear frame area, that connected to the wiring going up to the lights....

Using radials on my 49 wagon. One of the original riveted rims had a problem with
radials. Switched to new welded wheels, and no issues. Just installed new Cokers.
BTW, if you purchase Cokers...
