The C5 and AOD are completely different tran's. C5 is an updated C4 and no O/D

I think you are wrong. It's been awhile since I removed my Fordo for a C-4, but they were both the same as far as the converter was concerned. No attachment of the converter to the main trans. ...

I did the conversion. From what I read before doing it (from a Mustang & Fords Magazine article) that the best ones are from 1970 and up because it has a larger input shaft and forward clutch hubs...

The 75-80 Granada, Monarch and the Lincoln Versaille were the brakes people used to convert to discs. The disc is a single pad caliper design. These were used on the 54-56 sedans and the 55-57...

Look up Centerforce. They should have something for you. diaphragm clutches. I have one in my 54 Ford (312) and it has given me good service.


You may have to look up by diameter, tooth count...

If your working on an early TBird (55-57) then CASCO and Hill's have a conversion kit (they both look the same in their respective catalogs). Just got one from Hills and its looks good, haven't...

Only in the U.S. was the OHV engine - Canada still had the flathead and kingpin front ends. I think Australia got the Canadian version.
