As I recall the switch is spring loaded.There is a spring behind the dash. Push the switch towards the front of the dash to relieve the tension on the bezel and twist off the bezel

I wonder, due to fact the aftermarket pan has no holes, if the pan fits different body styles and you drill the holes where you need them?

I would not worry about a 2 mph error. It probably left the factory that way. Anyway the speedo is actually reading faster than your actual speed. It's when the speedo reads slower than your actual...

The cowl vents and hardware are the same from '40-47. The mechanism is pickup only. I've never compared the actual vent lid to a pickup vs passenger car. The cowl vent gasket is the same for 39-42...

I've had good luck with the liner. I use the liner with the lip on it. I taper the ends of the leaves so they don't bite into the leaf below. Then paint all of them and put the liner between each...

I've always used the loop(induction) style ammeters with 12 volts and an alternator. Never had a problem as the wire passes through the loop and is not directly connected to the gauge,

Some years back they actually made a chopped top for a '32. If I remember right it was cut 2" and was sold by LeBaron-Bonney. I think Girtz Industries was the supplier. they also made repo bumpers....
