Re: led light bulbs

OK, the LED I used from Superbright fit the stock dash light with no modifications. So I guess I'm mistaken.

Badpuppy, do you know what base fits the stock dash light? I have a list of LEDs I...

Re: "Gener-Nator"?

Hmmm, we don't have many options. I'm running a Gates B41 (44") and it works fine. The stock belt is a Gates B40 (43") and that was too short for mine.

About rubbing on the hose, I don't know if...

Re: No compression

Not necessarily. They need to open and close at the right time. I suggest pulling the side timing gear cover and looking at the gears.

Re: How 550x19 radials look on a 29 Town Sedan

Do you happen to know the diameter of them. I think they are a nice looking tire (even tho they are out of my budget at the moment).

Re: How 550x19 radials look on a 29 Town Sedan

Did you consider getting the 5.00R19? Do they make a 5.00R21? so you could use your original wheels?

Actually I like the way your car looks with these tires. But you need to paint your wheel...

Re: Compression Ratio with a babbit engine

That's pretty close to what I got on my otherwise stock engine... Stock head=65psig, Snyder 5.5=100psig.

BTW, the OP asked for highest ratio, not psi. :p:p

Re: Steering Box leak

The "non-leak" tube isn't leaking is it? Crack or hole??

Also, when you do find the leak remember to install the 'o' ring that Tom mentions on the sectors shaft (another common spot to leak).
