Re: The Rear Brake Camshaft Lever...

Re: 82a ccpu roof installation

I'm sorry no, they're all on my computer. Send me an email so I have your email address, maybe I can send the ones showing the top install.

Re: 82a ccpu roof installation

As far as I can tell, Marco has taken down the photos. Years ago he said they were only there temporarily, but still made them available for a very long time, maybe 8 years? As mentioned by Joe I...

Re: Spark and accelerator control rods...

Steve, I'm curious about those also. I've been able to find good ones most of the time so far.

Re: 29 ccpu cab corner seal

The closest thing to original would be friction tape the length of that joint.

The top and bottom center pieces were sealed with the same material, but those pieces were also spot welded together...

Re: brake parts and grease

Sorry to hijack the thread regarding grease.
Werner, I though I should point out that your emergency brake carrier has been bent. It should be straightened out, or replaced. The emergency brake shoe...

Re: Fitting Glass and Channels in a 29 Closed Cab Pickup

When you purchase your channel kit there should be a soft rubber strip that glues along the top of the door between the metal channels. This is the seal for the top of the window glass when it's all...

Re: Fitting Glass and Channels in a 29 Closed Cab Pickup

There are probably different ways to do this job, but here's how I do it.
With the inside trim off of the door and without the channels, I put the glass in the slots in the door and connect it to...

Re: Conduit ferrule does not fit headlght bucket

You may have 1928 headlight buckets. The '28 headlight buckets have a smaller socket since they have a single bulb in the reflector and have one less wire in the conduit. The '28 headlight buckets...

Re: Windshield teardown

As with most rusted screws & bolts I used heat to remove those screws on my windshield. I heated the screws to a dull red and then let them cool. I also soaked them with some PB Blaster after cooling...

Re: Carburetor Float valves

Here's what worked for me a few weeks ago. I experienced the same sudden leaking that you did (smurph). My carb had been running an original type float valve for many years.

I installed a 4 year...

Re: California Gas problem

I've never had a problem with water in my fuel until the last couple of years. I suspect it's either the cheap local gas station I've been buying gas from, or the tendancy of ethanol to pick up more...

Re: Generator Field Ground

I found the photo of the part and I also found the part in my generator parts pile, it was connected to a burned up field coil. This is the part that must not be available as repro, I don't see it in...

Re: Generator Field Ground

Tom, one of these is the field coil wire for the ground, I thought it was the short one. Here's another photo.

I have plenty of studs and insulating washers. Your words "large eyelet that fits...

I'm rebuilding a spare generator and am looking for a good way to attach the field ground to the case under terminal assy, but of course keep it separate from the terminal connection. The field coil...

I don't remember where I got this, maybe from Pluck, but I believe it was correct. Maybe someone else can confirm it.

Re: 29 Tudor Door Window Channel question

Hey Guys,
This is the metal channel that the window felt mounts into. Ordinarily you don't need these unless your door is so rusted they are not usable, or the metal channel has been broken out of...

Re: Backing plate bolts too long?

I just went through this same thing as you can see from my post linked above. I used Tom Endy's great instructions and it worked perfectly. I found that I needed a little different thickness for the...

Re: The 1928 Closed Cab Body 82-A

I also think that the 82-A cabs were supplied with the rear 2 holes on each side for alternate mounting between A and AA. I've also wondered if the earliest 82-A cabs only had 1 rear mounting hole on...

Re: Loose Closed Cab Side Mirror

You may be able to back the D-Nuts up with something heavy and then carefully peen over the D-Nuts so they are tight in the holes again. You'll have to pull the windshield garnish to get to the back...
