even though i had play in the e brake cable i removed the cable from the vertical e brake lever the drum would not fit
i removed the horizontal e brake lever lengthen the pivot area of the two...

the brake drum will not slide over the rear brake shoes unless i remove the parking brake horizontal lever with the lever removed the drum fits freely im thinking of modifying the parking brake lever

i did not replace the brake shoes the reason for replacing the drums
the hubs and drums were drilled to chevy bolt pattern so i installed
ford hubs 5 on 5.5 and purchased new drums could very...

i purchased 4 new American made brake drums for my 40 coupe
the fronts fit fine
the rear will not slide over the brake shoes
i adjusted the brakes to minimal
the lower shoe cams are adjusting ...

always order wide white radials with the extra beauty ring gives them a bias look
they balance well
have them on my 40 coupe and 50 merc
my preference over cooker radials that...

the vacuum to distributor is from the carb closest to the firewall
the second carb vacuum is blocked off
if I remove and crimp the vac line from dist and advance or retard there is not much rpm...

stock distributor
idles fine but when you steadily bring up the rpm it starts to back fire and pop thru the carburetor

I have a 1951 8ba with two 94 carbs
starts and idles fine on accell it pops thru the carbs
any suggestions timing is set new internal balas 12 volt coil

wires and plugs are new any suggestions

the gen has been converted to 12 volt the coil is 12 volt internal bal
runtz on all gauges added a fuse box 12 volt...
