Dan,

What about using wood that has been kiln dried for several months to get rid of the acids? either way you will end up painting/sealing the wood and metal.

Brent, thank you for posting the ad about the burnishing machine. I learned quite a bit-most of this is over my head as well-but I learned that even in the 20's there were full pressure oil systems...

Babbit will have material on the side of the bearing saddle. Inserts I don't think have that.

Is Bert's number still good? I am trying to contact them about an order and all I get is that the number cannot be completed as dialed. Anyone else having this issue? Fires maybe?

No Diagram but I can tell you that it goes in this order:

-manifold to firewall (steel tube)
-firewall up the passenger A pillar (steel tube)
-the 90 degree bend is at the top of the pillar...
