I taped mine to the inside of the roof and adhered a nice layer of insulation on next prior to installing the headliner. This keeps my interior MUCH cooler in the summer months.

I too bought a pair of Drakes after purchasing a useless pair from another popular vendor. They worked just fine. I bought the stainless set.

Re: I D question
My '47 had the entire frame replaced. I bought it in pieces and the body was just sitting on the frame. Very few of these cars have "numbers matching" today. Also, according to the Early Ford V8...

Going down for the week visiting family and friends. Will be at the track Thursday and Friday. This is a really fun show. The best part is the stuff going on outside...all over town.

Re: Installing rocker panels on 46 coupe
Yes. Having the body mounted to the frame for this repair is quite helpful in keeping the door gaps and preventing the body from saging. another useful tip is to have the running boards handy to...

Re: Lowering a 47 sedan super deluxe
If the car is totally stock and running as well as you say just lower with the bolt-in springs and leave her stock. I'd hate to see another 100% original car get cut up. I made my custom from...

Re: 40 Ford part id - part numbers supplied
If you post pictures of them it would be easy to tell. It sounds like dash trim pieces for the '40 deluxe since the 3-piece set is numbered 01A-7004690 in the Drake catalog.
