Re: 47 Ford Steering column

The tube should be the same color both inside the interior and in the engine compartment as it is painted prior to installation. Color depends on your model and trim option but the shifting mechanism...

Re: I D question

My '47 had the entire frame replaced. I bought it in pieces and the body was just sitting on the frame. Very few of these cars have "numbers matching" today. Also, according to the Early Ford V8...

Going down for the week visiting family and friends. Will be at the track Thursday and Friday. This is a really fun show. The best part is the stuff going on outside...all over town.

Re: Installing rocker panels on 46 coupe

Yes. Having the body mounted to the frame for this repair is quite helpful in keeping the door gaps and preventing the body from saging. another useful tip is to have the running boards handy to...

Re: MACs at Hershey?

I found out a few weeks prior to Hershey and was very disappointed when I had to pay $50.00 shipping on my last order. I had planned on picking it up in the red field as I normally do. I promptly...

Re: Lowering a 47 sedan super deluxe

If the car is totally stock and running as well as you say just lower with the bolt-in springs and leave her stock. I'd hate to see another 100% original car get cut up. I made my custom from...

Re: 40 Ford part id - part numbers supplied

If you post pictures of them it would be easy to tell. It sounds like dash trim pieces for the '40 deluxe since the 3-piece set is numbered 01A-7004690 in the Drake catalog.

Re: 1947 ford side molding

The reason for the change was due to so many of the early 47 style being damaged during installation at the factory so they went to a new, stronger contour design for the remainder of 47 and all of...

Re: Graphite rope seal "Questions"

Re: Calling out all 1940 1941 Ford 1/2 tons

Built mine from an assortment of parts (both car and truck as you can see). Check out my album for a bunch of photos...It runs and drives great but it's a bitch in the rain.
