Re: Ford Licensing Article in Model "A" News

I agree with Tom, that the article was a bit mis-leading. A big international company like Ford has more than enough on it's hands than to 'worry' if we are getting quality parts for 90 year old...

This is the first I ever heard of A&L's switches not working something is weird about...

Re: Sea-Foam

Same here. MMO is a high detergent oil won't hurt to run a dab thru your motor oil even soon before you change oil if your engine isn't too gunked up. Otherwise I wouldn't it may kick loose a bunch...

Re: No way to treat a Model A

Ouch those shoes had to scratch.

About as painful as seeing Kevin Costner leap up on the cowling and hood of that nice '34 Ford Tudor he and Woody Harrelson were driving in the Netflix movie 'The...

Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

Could be good could be bad. If you live near the ocean you are exposed to salt 24/7 like it or not. Add to that the super humid Florida climate and ya got trouble.

I looked at a '69 Mach 1, Q...

Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

Thank you. I thought I was one of the few I also gave up watching that over hyped nonsense because of that. Gives me more time in the garage.

Re: Non-Authentic Paint Colors & Schemes

I side with Dave and Gary on this topic.

The original colors fit the body styles. They look better to my eye done original, not painted up like some kind of clown car or college football mascot...

Re: insurance

My observations also.

Continental Western Ins. used to advertise in Old Cars Weekly, they cover Midwest cars. Seem pretty reliable.

I have Hagerty at the present, and had Grundy for a number...

Re: Model "A" Cars vs. Their Successors

Good topic.

Re: bmw woes

BMW and Mercedes are nice cars when new, but they are over-engineered.

They are a maintenance nightmare. Parts and labor. I know of a guy that spent $2200 having the two front shocks replaced on a...
