I had the same thing happen to me on my 8ba merc. The main broke in half along with both bolts. Lucky for me I came a cross another main that worked without having to line bore

Re: Spark Plug Fouling

A long.....long time ago in a gas station far....far away that I used to work at, had a plug cleaner using a media that blasted the plugs clean, that seemed to work well.

Re: ..and now I feel guilty!

Vincent. You mentioned filling your steering box with grease, not a good idea. If not using the proper gear lube, a good grease to use would be John Deere corn head grease., as it does not cake up...

Re: 1934 ford Toe In Setting

An easy way to locate the center of the tread is jack the car up, spin the tire and scribe a mark on a spot at or near the center of the tread on both tires and with a tool like talkwrench has gives...

Re: 1934 ford coupe Rear end to high

Don't reroll the eyes, just disassemble the spring and re- arch the main leaf cold on a press. I've done this with success although it does take a while

Re: 1932 Ford 4 cylinder engine tins question

In all the original 32's I've seen I can't remember seeing those on any cars, so they must be pretty rare. What were they designed to do and did they work as designed?

Re: '41 won't crank when hot

If the starter is still in the car and you experience this again, try rapping on the starter with something and see if it starts. If it does it would indicate worn bushings, binding the rotor as...

Re: Crank pulley bolt...Lost again!!

Just a thought, how tight is the hub and pulley onto the crank? with the added load of the blower and if it's not a tight enough fit it might cause some wobbling and loosening of the bolt that holds...

Re: oil filter restriction orifice

Re: oil filter restriction orifice

Think about when you first fire up, untill your oil filter has filled completely you're loosing oil pressure in the engine during that time. I believe I would leave the restrictor in line as designed

Re: Mart's Update: 1932 Ford Sedan Project Pt4. Front suspension build. Plus stuff.

Enjoyed the video Mart, keep them coming. On the installation of reversed eye springs, I used to always disassemble the spring, which made it much easier to handle. Not saying it is the right way,...
