Yeah.. I am in the corner of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. Transplanted a few years back for early retirement. Guess I am spoiled but winters seem long and cold. Love it here but I sure do like me...

There was a post here on the Barn about some aftermarket wheel cylinders having a steel sleeve that leaks/moves in the bore. Might check for that. I assume your brakes are adjusted correctly. Also.....

A fuel pump that looks new does not make it a good one. Sounds like you have very low fuel pressure. Blockage or leak in line from tank bad pump... Need to check fuel pressure for 2-3 psi.

I agree on the O rings but like you said, they seal up very well. I always lick em before installing..

I am a member of a few old car groups (facebook) and see a lot of pictures of 35-40 Fords. Of all the pictures posted of member cars, There are more 36s than any other year.. By far! Some are glass...

Also keep in mind an AOD is totally reliant on the throttle valve for shift pressures. It is critical that it be adjusted correctly for correct shift points and trans pressures. A misadjusted...

Also, the electronic transmission (4R70W) is virtually the same as an AOD internally so the wide ratio planetary gears will interchange into the AOD. The W in 4R70W stands for wide ratio.

When I was a kid I built my first hot rod using all junkyard parts. Ended up with a 55 Fairlane with a 428 and a top loader 4 speed. Good luck doing anything like that these days. Think I gave 200...

My car has Fenton cast iron headers and the header is so close the stud for the battery cable had to be ground off some for clearance. I have no issues starting even on the hottest day after extended...
