Re: Feedback on modern tube shocks for Model A's
I have Snyder's tube shock kit on my Town Sedan. I like the Snyders kit because you don't drill the front axle and the shocks have eyes, not a straight shaft mount. The rear shocks are about right...

I use 4 foot LED shop lights from Harbor Freight. 5000 lumens, very bright. My old eyes love them. $20 ea. on sale or with 20% off coupon.

Re: Fuel pump location question.
Nosetime, the motor part of the pump is about 2 inches from the header, the fuel part of the pump is about 5 inches from the header. I was concerned about heat and thought about adding a heat...

Re: Fuel pump location question.
I use a Reds try-y Header. Holly fuel pump is mounted inside the right side frame rail. I use SAE J30R9 fuel hose from the tank to the pump and from the pump to the carburetors. On a hot day the...

Re: Foaming Coolant
I have seen foaming when using modern "long life" antifreeze. The antifreeze made for cars 1989 and older seems to work much better in Model A's. You can find it in most auto parts stores.

Re: Squealing engine
Had the same squeal with my engine. Spray the front crank seal with oil and squeal would go away, then return after a few hours running. Replaced with modern seal, no squeal and no leak.

Re: unusual head torque issue
I use ARP Ultra-Torque Assembly Lube on head nuts. Nuts don't stick to the threads.
I worried about the nuts loosening, but that a has not happened yet.
I torque Model A heads to 55 lbs.

The Best website says to use copper spray on their graphite head gaskets. I do and it works well.
