That is correct, Speedo stops turning and drive does not! Also very common in Model A's.

Gear ratio

Hi guys n Gals I have a 1930 closed cab pickup that originally started life as a 1930 2dr sedan . What is the best way to find out rear end gear ratio? Any tips or tricks would be helpful. Thanks Mike

Ha Ha , i have you beat my 30 pickup had one on each side left was a? Right had a heater fan switch in it! welded both in.

Yes , I believe Charlie is correct that spacer is to move bearing outward( it does need to come off) they usually come off with a couple of taps

I can't answer all your questions, but in regards to steaming wood I use a wallpaper steamer and a piece of alu downspout (depending on size of wood to be bent)

Nosoup4u, in short that means they measure your drums and basically grind your shoes to fit the same diameter ( or arc )
