Re: gas today versus parts from yesterday

Regarding fuel stabilizers, Gibbs Racing Oil has a product that has been demonstrated in various tests to protect old (and new too I guess) carb's from corrosion created by ethanol fuels,...

Re: 39 brake pedal bushings

You must have missed the part where I said I had spent a buttload of time. Want a list of all who don't stock it, but show it on their web site "for reference only" and the part where Dick Spadaro...

OK, this bushing (1939 only, 91A 7526; 1.92"L x 1.193" ID x 1.254" OD)is made of unobtainium at this point. I have spent a buttload of time trying to find replacement bushings and I now know why they...

Re: spline adapter experience

My 36 I tore aprt and the center section bearings were toast, and I needed to get sleeves put on the ends of my bells, so I bit the bullet and tore it down, ordered a 354 ring and pinion and that's...

Re: 1936 Model 67 vs 68 Pickups

Thanks for the info guys. Don, I have 3 of the 5 books you show, but I'll find those I don't have and see what mystical information I am able glean from them.

All your efforts and info are...

Re: 1936 Model 67 vs 68 Pickups

I actually have two copies of much vaunted Green Bible. They give a list of various standard parts with no mention of quantities required, nor any clue as to where it is to be used in the assembly...

Re: 1935-36 pickup restoration book

Tangled,

Thanks for the trip to the past. Interesting read.

Still, much has changed in the 7 years since the BOD made their dastardly move to kill the information brought forth by Jerry and...

Re: 1935-36 pickup restoration book

I too was hoping they would engage in discussions as to how their book could be brought to fruition, but likely they have moved on and just want it behind them. Can't blame them.

If it were me...

Re: 1935 Ford pickup parts help

To answer your questions, the front fenders mount to an inner fender, which is mounted to the frame and cab.

The Front fenders run back and bolt up to the front of the running boards, which run...

Re: 1935 Ford pickup parts help

Rick,

Shoot me an email address and I'll send you some of the pictures I took prior to teardown of my 36. They are too big apparently. I can get them smaller, usually by emailing them to myself...

Re: 1936 Model 67 vs 68 Pickups

Hench my confusion, so I'm blaming the author. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Re: 1936 Model 67 vs 68 Pickups

Don,

Yes, that's what I have been going from. Every book or CD I have says model 67-830 for Pickups. Apparently I am one of many, many, confused because a google search for Model 68 pickups...

Re: 1936 Model 67 vs 68 Pickups

Don Rogers,

I completely agree on the water splashing of face aspect of the old Ford literature. Decoding part numbers from the"Green Bible" is more of a detective endeavor than anything. A lot of...

The more I learn about 1936 pickups the more questions....

I have assumed I had a '36 67-830 model 1/2 ton pickup. But I have never seen on paper what the differences are between the two models of...

Re: 1935-36 pickup restoration book

That idea might have some merit, but not sure I want to join that group in order to get the news letter. I think the actual book is preferable to me.

I, also, buy a lot of books on makes I don't...
