Re: Mounting hardware for 34 Ford interior Header PANEL

If they aren't wood screws, but rather machine screws, you can determine what screws that you need along with matching finishing washers yourself, You can be a bit long on the screw lengths to be on...

Re: 32 steering wheel on a 35

Shelcon,

Your second wheel appears to be a '36 standard as it it lacks the raised areas cited by Terry.

Re: 1932 Ford Three Window Body Tag

Even if it were still as built, you would not be able to determine the coupe's production date as a whole vehicle with any accuracy beyond roughly plus or minus a month. If your body is original to...

Re: Grey hound hood ordament

Alan,

You're correct, the Lincoln greyhounds were larger in keeping with the scale of the vehicles and had more detailing than even the '34 Ford cap made by Stant. Gorham, the silversmiths, was...

Re: Grey hound hood ordament

But it was the equivalent of the aftermarket offerings as its tail is not freestanding like the '34 Ford and all Lincoln greyhounds.

Re: 32 grill bull nose id

Not worth repairing the two-piece ornament given the quality of the still-available Drake reproduction. The one-piece ornament appears to be a shortened original which if re-plated could be a...

Re: original Ford wheel paint

The black ones were dipped, but like yourself, Mike, I am not certain about the colored wheels as I have seen originals with color over black.

Re: Is this heater from a 1937 Ford?

Double no. The only heater offered by Ford for its '37 vehicles sold in the U.S. was a hot air (manifold) heater. No hot water heater was offered.

Re: 34 pickup grill lacing

It is the same cowl and hood welting used on all '32s. The original material had a hard core, but the available replacement has a relatively soft core, which means that over time the hood will...

Re: 1934 interior door handles

Those are radio dial heads, late '33 and early '34 originally in place of glove box and mid -year and late '34 in place of ash tray. No tachometer was offered.

Re: More 32 identification help please

Without washers in the knuckles and given the overall curvature, the bumper is an original. The correct door latches for the tudor sedan (B-55) and Victoria (B-190) were B-46105-A and B-146106-A. ...

Re: 1932 steering housing cap (B-3589)

Thanks to Pete's enlargement, there's no question. The 15 and 52 gears are not the same. The 15-to-1set will steer with less effort.

Re: 1932 steering housing cap (B-3589)

Technically speaking, 15-to-1 steering gear sets weren't adopted until 5,000 passenger cars and commercial vehicles into the 1933 model year in the U.S.. The '32-early '33 gear set had a 13-to-1...

Re: '32 AAB bumper mounts

The basic black-painted front bumpers were the same, 1932 and 1933-34 (BB-17757-A), except for passenger and school buses. The brackets, right and left and the center backing bar are unique to '32s...
