Re: The forgotten 1960 Fords

Re: Year of Make Tab Mounting - Texas

I'd buy one of the examples used on the CA plate and call it good. The other thing you could try is get a piece of scrap metal and cut it to a size that will work for you.
I'm sure there are other...

Re: Small Ford Sixes 144, 170

I had a 70 Maverick with a 200 six. I had a spare 250 engine from another wrecked '70 Maverick and used the head from it on the 200 after I did a valve job on it. The valves were the same in both...

Re: Y-Blocks Forever

I was able to visit a few of the forums and read some posts but it took forever. I couldn't post anything.

Re: 56 Merc 2 4s

Maybe his old lady told him,"enough already on that website..." when he was typing mid sentence and didn't get to finish what he was typing. :D

Re: What Year Rims?

There may be a date code stamped on the front face of the wheel or on the inside where the tire would mount.

Re: Car died 2 blocks from home.

Yes, the NSS will only cause a no start condition. I often need to jiggle my shifter in neutral for my car to start. I've had a hard time trying to get my switch adjusted just right.
Try a good...

Re: What engine is this?

It's a great site. I've spent lots of time there. I especially liked browsing the Ausie section.

Re: Electric fuel pump on '55 Bird

I know many may cringe at my method of priming a carb on a car that sits. I just pour a few ounces of 40:1 2-stroke mix gas right down the carb. Sometimes it takes an extra few ounces of gas to get...

Re: Fires in California

You can try but it isn't much different anywhere else you can go. I thought it was better here in the PNW 20 years ago. It's all the same shit but in a different shape.

Re: Carb on Stock '55 Vic?

The top one is of my 56 taken by the seller just before I bought it. The car has a build date of 10/21/55 indicated by the patent plate.

Re: $189,500 yankee dollars!
