I had my 35 ford wheels powdered coated then took them to a friends tire shop and had new tires mounted on the rims. No scuffs nor scratches.

With all the permits to have this event , the state is out there before and after to check that they have cleaned up the carnage. All the vehicles have had all their fluids removed as well.

Ford38V8 Yes they do . That is part of the permit. They drain all the fluids out of the vehicle as well before launch off.

Hello Vincent ! Welcome to the Ford Barn. If I had a fairly original car , I would do all I can to keep it stock. If you were wanting to run at higher speeds I would look into a overdrive system....

You need to check your fuel pump pressure . I had similar issues with my 41 Ford pick up with a worked over flathead. I installed a electric fuel pump before the old mechanical pump and the problem...

When you indicate that it did not start , would the engine turn over with using the starter and engine would not start or did the starter not even turn over the engine.

51woodie The oil should not be getting into the distributor.
I bet the shaft to body clearance is to much allowing the oil to find its way up into the top.
