Re: Getting on Fordbarn

AND it's built into the operating system, Windows 10. AND that makes it FREE. So Win-Win on malware defense. Kick Norton and others to the curb.

Re: Getting on Fordbarn

Generic comments from a guy who's day job is to try to train people how to fix broken, mostly Windows, computers.

1. If a computer runs Windows 7 it has the hardware power to run Windows 10 just...

Re: ‘36 LB. temp ranges, thermostats?

Thermostats are to help the car come to temp sooner, and warm up when it reduces load/cools (think cresting a mountain).

They will not limit high temp.

But.. The original '36 system included...

Re: Stainless steel Fords going to auction

A little perspective from 19Fordy's linked article...

“Leo Gephart, my father Russ Jackson and Tom Barrett worked together to develop the blueprint for the collector car auction as we know it...

Re: Stainless steel Fords going to auction

It's so nice to see these three cars coming out of hiding.

You can see a similar triplet at the Crawford Museum in Cleveland. I went there in 2018 and was happy to see them, but their '36 has...

Re: Another one shipping ARDUN 8BA with sound

Ronnie thanks for the post. I put this one into the exclusive "flathead porn" category. (Accepting the valve conundrum being exposed.)

More sir?... More pics please?

Re: 15 Millionth Model T

Jim, Thanks so much for the heads-up.

The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village AND the Benson Ford Research Center melt my heart to think of how cool they are. When I can return I'd really like to...

Re: Is this oilpan protector original or not ?

I'm appreciating the fab work too. The beefy-ness is revealed from the bracketry... There's not even any slotted holes!

You think the stiffeners are rolled in or stamp pressed? That's some...

Re: To Air On the Safe Side

Helium would exit through a container faster than any other gas discussed here. Filling would be more frequent.

No way this stuff explodes. That's hydrogen.

Blimps and airships could use...

Re: Of 34 Phaetons - woodticks - n - Brook Trout

That car is really special David J. So nice to see it getting it's legs stretched a little, with the top down to boot!

So, the ticks... More or less than the number of fish?

Re: 36 mystery part

For a day now, I've been thinking. This doesn't look like any part on my '36 Phaeton (or my '35 Touring).

That elongated hole on the bottom left looks suspicious. My guess is that gizmo has been...

Re: 1935 brake rods

One thing about rods is they have to be dead straight AND have circular not egged-out holes in their ends. Same for all pins and clevises that they're going through.

Wow, that is some seriously chromatropic pornograpicarapically Ford-ish goodness.

I've got a '35 trunkback that those bits would be totally out of place on, cuz they're so perfect!

Just between...
