well it is not that cylinder, water will wash off all the carbon. we had a 40 engine which the owner insisted on changing to aluminum heads, had leak problems on one side-we used best gaskets and...

just to clarify-I don't care what way you refer to yourselves just as long as Flathead Ted keep making the floaters. If clarifying it made you feel better then that is OK also

just adjusted a 36 with mechanical brakes converted to floater using the 'Australian" version of floaters and they work great will slide all four wheels when you try to

slip a small piece of metal into the rubber bushing that the throttle knob shaft goes thru-that is what I did for a quick fix. pictures are of speedway lights used as turn signals on 40 coupe

so on the lift you cannot see a big leak but driving the car results in a big noticeable leak? if this is the case the oil is climbing the back of the pan and going out around the gasket

ritzy 1 look into the leak coming from the exhaust manifold bolt above the starter. too long of a bolt and the end of the bolt will go thru the water jacket. I fixed such a leak with Teflon tape...
