Re: On The Road With The Merc

I sure do like the looks of your part of the world. It would do well if some of us city slickers remembered where our food comes from.
Thanks, farmer.

Re: Polishing a fire extinguisher

What kind of lacquer are you planning to use? Would it be sufficient for use on a brass rail?
Thanks

BB truck distributor quesstion

Asking for a friend who is only slightly less computer savvy than me. He has a BB truck with a bad distributor. He got it out of the engine but it is very badly rusted.
Is the distributor for a BB...

56 Tbird shoulder /seat belts

Does any of you know of 3 point, shoulder/seat belts that can be used in a 56 Tbird? I haven't been able to locate such belts, but think they might exist.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Is this an ok radiator?

I don't own a 51 Merc any more, so I'll just add my opinion. My preference is to always use original parts when possible. If there is a good radiator shop near to you, a couple of considerations...

Re: Old newbe needs help

I sure have received some good advice here. Next week I will follow up and see what I can do with the problem.
Hopefully, I can make contact with a good mechanic nearby.
Thanks to all.

Re: Old newbe needs help

It overheats after just a couple of miles and gets hot enough to blow the coolant out of the radiator pressure tube. I have cleaned out the block as much as I can without going in through the freeze...

Old newbe needs help

I am not a newbe to the Fordbarn, but usually use the Early V8 Forum for info about my 36 Ford tudor. However, I have had a 56 T-Bird for 48 years and need some help with it. It is a 312 with auto...

Re: car inter.

I used Cartouche on my 36 Tudor and it was quite satisfactory. Not perfect. The door panel holes did not quite fit the holes in the doors. Material quality seemed very good to my inexperienced eye.

Re: What would u do?

Re: heads up all american day Sydney Australia

What is All America Day about? Pretty cool that another country would honor ours. But if anyone would do so, it would be our friends, Australia.
