Just to give you an update ....

I routered out the edges after searching high and low for a router bit. I finally got something and made it work. I had to lengthen the boards 1.5” to match the bed...

40 Pickup Bedwood Question

For the bedwood strips. I know I have to router out the board edges to sink the strips down but how much physical distance between the boards should there be? I am thinking 5/8-3/4” or just a bit...

Built these from scrap lumber .... I just use a piece of 4x4 on the floor jack pad to get the added lift needed to put them underneath ....

Jack stands are great but are a pain when when trying to...

Thanks, Lawson - since I only needed one hook and everything else is pretty old, a new set of chains would not have the “look” I am after .....

This is what I am doing about the bed chains and if I have to make the hook, I will. I had one complete chain on the driver side, and just 2 chain links on the other. With some galvanized same sized...

I have used the third seat out of a Chevy Suburban, 92-97, Dodge Caravan 3rd seats (or similar). I do not build stock restorations but they can be upholstered to look just like the stock seats ....
