Both my Model A's have Marvel carbs, both require the GAV open 3/4 turn to start after about 15-20 seconds I can start to close them to about 1/4 turn open. Can't close then completely until motor...

If your flasher is a 3 terminal type, connect the beeper to the P terminal on the flasher, other wire to ground. May have to reverse the wires for it to beep.

As the engine runs longer the current should drop toward zero. Sounds like your battery isn't full charged.

I believe you assembled it wrong. The two piece bracket circled in red, bolts from the chrome horizontal part (base) to the black vertical part. This allows the chrome base to fold up vertically...

try some light oil on the insert at the top of the column, just below the bottom of the steering wheel. That fixed my squeak.

Try pressing the bushing in the end plate more toward the flywheel. This allow more front to back free play on the armature, should have about .010" to .020" free play.

The horn motor should be isolated from ground. You can't measure between the two horn terminals with an ohmmeter, you will always get a reading, this is normal. Either horn terminal to ground...

I had to do what Patrick said, placed a pipe in the the muffler inlet to give it a slight bend, in my case I had to move the pipe forward, increased the angle.

Hi I did this about 5 years ago but in reverse. When from closed cab to roadster tub. Like Ronn says an easy swap. I took the bed off before setting the new roadster tub on.

Tilly's are good carbs. Like Patrick said what type of float needle do you have. Buy a viton tipped float valve they work better with the corn gas we have to use today.

Brent, post #8. When I was still working we had a complete machine shop, the shop foreman was a car guy. He bored out 2 A intake manifolds to 1.25". I have used one since 1997.

With my 5.9 Brumfield head I run a Marvel. I suppose a Model B carburetor would be also.
