Yes, I run it on regular 91 and its happy, we are in total lock down and I would get set home or arrested if I went out in the Ford, it stands out too much.

I don’t know how I missed the bent rotor problem, I think removing the fan helped, i ser the advance to full now, engine starts at a flick of the key and makes a lot more power, I cannot get it to...

My Bob drake crab distributor cap has the contacts sticking out too far so it broke the NOS rotor, and I got a new bob drake rotor that is so long you cannot even get the cap on, have to grind 2.5mm...

Took off my new bob drake distributor cap to find the NOS Champion rotor had collided with one of the contacts because the BOB drake cap is not the same size, also the brand new bob drake distributor...

Yep I agree, I got best gasket head gaskets in my engine, only had to re torque twice from new.

I want to buy a new fuel pump or even a rebuild kit in NZ but all the shops say bob and Dennis are...

I made the last water pump gaskets from cereal box and they never leaked or suffered in any way, only took them off to change the leaking pumps.


Dennis makes his gaskets from compressed tissue...

a year or 2 ago I got Carpenter water pump gaskets witch actuality wicked coolant trough them, normal paper wouldn't even do that

Funny thing is it dosnt smell like fuel and the plugs are dry and there is no black smoke or any indication of flooding when it starts, it’s like it’s getting no fuel

As I sed befor every part in the ignition system has been changed when going to electronic and it still has the same problem, it dosnt allways do it.

On the wires from the ignition pick up to the coil are 2 bullet connectors, I will solder them together in case it’s those connections but I am pretty sure it’s fuel related as it did it with a 100%...

yes It’s a 94 carb, I took the top off the carb 2 days after and it was still had a good amount of fuel, I have an electronic ignition, it has an internal ballist resistor in the coil,

I removed...

I set my distributor up in the timing fixture and set that scale on the side witch the fixture, I am thinking I could advance it a lot more as its at half now

Strange wartime engines

This is about the 3rd time I have come across an engine like this, its a mercury block but it has been sleeved down to 3 1/16" and I guess have a non merc crank and rods, 2 of them had the funny...
