They look like the cap that came with my Miller OHV setup, because it has a different plug spacing. I junked it because I used a Mallory distributor or I would post a picture. The cap by Renners...

Note the octagon trim on the headlights and the electric cowl lights. tires are Michelin 37X5.
Locomobile had the octagon headlights.

Your assumptions are right. The rubber also must be notched where the screw and nut goes through. notched then put in place, then the screw and nut installed.

That tube is a wind breaker for the top. snaps on it attach to the top of the windshield to prevent a breeze from coming over the windshield.

Pull outward, but no metal clip under them. They are a rubber block that fits in a open slot. The rubber is molded with a part that fits behind the slot. Use a blunt screwdriver to force new ones in.

I use American Collector for the 9 Model As and a 34 Ford that I have insured. I have had only one claim and it was settled very agreeably. Nice folks to deal with.

I used a foil backed butyl product from Amazon on my Tudor and I really deadened the sound. For heat reduction, I will have to wait for warmer weather to see how well that worked.

It is hard to get a magnet attached to a cable even close because the surrounding area is iron. I would try a magnet on a telescoping stick through the hole where you lost the bolt.
