I had similar problem. Pulled plugs - clean - re-gapped also cleaned air cleaner and issue went away.

Another thought - condenser

Vic my 39 already had tube shock when I purchased the car. However the set currently on eBay look like what I have. Hope this helps, stay well

He may want to do a bi-pass to (if using electric full time) avoid electric fuel pouring gas in the crank should the rubber in Mech pump
Go bad.

52 is very road worthy. :) I did a a lot to body. New running boards, new used bed, also all new shocks, brakes, rims, tires and with help of a good friend, who is a welder, we patched/fixed lower...

Vic, I've been out of the office on vacation since dec 12. My first day back is tomorrow. If work permits I'll be there. I'll let you know for sure (either way) as soon as I can.
