I agree with you but thinking outside the box I figured if the lead leaks the gas has to somehow get by the threads to leak. Since there is no pressure I just figured putting Titeseal on the threads...

Thanks for the info on paint and the lead washer. I usually put a light coat of Titeseal medium on the threads of any threads that have a potential to leak. It not only seals but stays pliable for...

Has Drake fixed the size of the gas tank figment problem with their early tanks?
I plan to replace the tank in my early 37 4dr with the screw in neck.

I also mounted mine behind the left frt wheel. Hangs at a 45 degree angle.Has worked fine for several yrs and makes a neat setup under the hood.

Sounds like a dry u joint. Mix up a slurry of grease and gearoil that you can pump from your grease gun, it worked for me. Had the same issue as you discribed. I give mine a good shot at the start of...

How far should the gas line from the gas tank go into the tank? On my 37 sdn the line goes in about 2.5Ē. Should it go in to the bottom of the tank just off the bottom? Thanks,Don

Cranked it up today and ran fine. Will have to test on the road for power and smooth transition when pulling a load. It idles just fine and seems to have good throttle response.

Hi Tubman, I have a regular manifold and I just blocked off the rear carb. The front carb is right where a stock manifold is. Will try it tomorrow.

Hi Guys, My question is can I run 1 carb on my 2 carb std. manifold? I want to test a few 97ís and a few 94ís. and plan to block off the front carb. Will it work?

Thanks guys, no leak but gasket is torn. The car was restored in 1985 and has held up very well. Will order one from Joe, it will be here almost before I hang up the phone.Great service!

39,000 mi on my Ol'Ron flathead and front of engine is dry as a bone. Now the rear seal is another question. Slight but noticeable leak. Oh, I am useing thr spiral front pully.
