I was thinking a manifold leak also, but I wouldn't see how getting rid of the manifold rings would help on the intake side unless they weren't installed properly.

So what slips? Are the threads towards the outer side stripped? The bezel just squeezes the gaskets that are around the gauge.

A judgment allows a type of lien and a bit of grief on the losing party. I wasn't paid on a claim till years later when the other guy wanted to buy a house. Maybe this guy will make things right,...

Your right, it can be a pain, but just a while back $1000 was like $7000 today. But if you would have had to hire a skip tracer you would only be working for justice and peace of mind, not money.

Buy a foot from NAPA and make some for yourself and a couple of friends.
Somewhere on this site is a thread about making the rings but a search will have to be made.

All the aa wire wheels I have seen look just the same as regular a wheels but much stouter. The ones on the diaper van look like later Ford wheels. My edit: I see the word deluxe so I am not familiar...

You would be miles ahead if you were to purchase a few good model A manuals. First get a copy of the owners manual.
