In 50 years and 125,000 miles of Model A driving, the only things I have had to replace on the road have been: Fan Belt (2), Flat tire (patched the tube), Brake light switch shorted and blew the fuse...

Sounds like a good idea. The Green Mountain Model A Club was active for years. I would think if someone was to revive the club or start a new one, folks would join.

If the emergency brake lever spring is broken it is possible to experience this situation. Worth checking the backing plate area to see if that is the case.

Looking at the color samples of Mocha Brown and Moulding Gray in the MAFCA paint book, they are close but definitely not the same color as identified by the Dupont code you referenced.

Yes, unfortunately this problems happens every once in while. Some of the clutch discs don't have cages to hold the springs and they may come loose and cause the disc to fail. Find a replacement...

If you have working.a test light, start at the terminal on the starter switch and follow the wires to see where the light stops. That should give you a answer where the problem is located.
