I used our local glass shop to cut a new vent window, took my old one to them and they cut a new one, price was the same as mail ordering glass with shipping. I bought glass setting tape from Bob...

Enough canít be said about the cables and connections. Even though they look ok, I would remove every connection and clean them until they are bright. I replaced my ground with a nice heavy military...

I bought a used Hutchins I believe from Roy a few years ago, havenít tried it on 12v yet but itís supposed to work on either.

I had CharlieNY rebuild my carb and distributor now my ‘41 runs like a top. I could have putzed around with the carb myself, but the distributor was another matter, required some machining to get it...

I guess it comes down to whether you want it judged or not and what accessories you need that only run on 12 volts. If all the wiring is good and the connections are tight 6 volt works fine.

In my state they were in the bottom left corner of the windshield, not sure when NYS started using them. Post a picture of your sticker.

No your not nuts, go for it. My first car in 1964 was a Ď50 2 door sedan that my Dad purchased for $5.00 from a co-worker.
