Picked up some head castings today.

I was able to pick up some aluminum castings from my foundry today. 2 B head samples (with the C on them), 10 Thomas heads for Snyder's, and the first OHV head that will be machined and tested asap,...

Re: The Terry Burtz 5 main bearing engine blocks are back on track.

Yes. I will report back after my meeting next week.

I will probably cast a 3-main iron block, a 3-main aluminum, and a 5 main aluminum this month.

Don't look for it in this thread...

Re: 8BA interest.

I doubt "no machine work" is viable, as it assumes every customer is in the same position as far as all of their parts are concerned. I have learned from other block projects that a basic block...

Re: 8BA interest.

The first step was to increase deck thickness. Cylinder wall thickness will be slightly thicker as well.

Re: 8BA interest.

I got into the Model A long before I knew the market for an 8BA was probably larger. Since I am so close to getting into regular production on the banger it made sense to back-burner the 8BA until...

Re: 8BA interest.

I never really left, Ron. I look in from time to time, but I have been so busy with regular machining and getting my Model A blocks ready to utilize new process tech that I haven't done much in the...

Re: The Terry Burtz 5 main bearing engine blocks are back on track.

I have 3 foundries here very close to me that want to cast them. the problem I am having here right now is that foundries are all very busy. But after one foundry owner called me yesterday to...

8BA interest.

OK. I've been taking a break from the 8BA due to working on a new casting method for my Model A blocks that I think will make the 8BA blocks much better. I didn't want to go deeper into the 8BA...

New blocks.

I have all the sand in house to cast the next 3 blocks as I inch towards production on these things. If you are one of those who have expressed interest in the past it may be a good idea to email me...

Re: Intake manifold needed.

Yes, looking closer the distance is noticeably different. If there were a market for that intake I would make one.

Is that the same intake and Weber that Snyder sells?

New B head first samples.

Here are the first 2 sample aluminum B heads, right out of the sand before clean up, heat treat, and shot blasting.

These 2 are not spoken for yet.

Great. I have one to do for crazydaddyo that is 5 main. I was wanting to do another out of aluminum asap. I am finishing up the first one right now. I would need to order sleeves for yours as I...

There is a stock-type pad for the number. The number can be stamped in by me or anyone else.

Re: New block interest.

Your builder will need to make your block to your specs. I will not be machining blocks for every conceivable combination.

New block interest.

OK, since things are getting closer to production, despite a very heavy work load, how many people here are really interested in getting a block? I know we initially had a poll that had over a...

Re: Tod's engine block

I will, good or bad. I am probably only a week or so from having the OHV sampled. B head molds should be ready for me to pick up today and bring back to the shop to test fit cores in. Those heads...

Thanks for the understanding. I am working on blocks, a new B head (which should see castings within a week or so), Thomas heads, intakes, and the new OHV head (also almost ready to cast), on top of...
