Early Columbia vacuum can A-51

Looking for an early Columbia vacuum can A-51 with the dome end as in the photo below. Used condition is fine condition of the interior is not important.

you can shorten a longer tube from another year. You may have to modify the lock bolt holes slightly. I used a 37 outer column.

Maybe not necessary but Fords rebuilding Service Bulletin calls for the diaphragm to be assembled with all the screws loose and the diaphragm extended then tighten all screws.

The size of the hole for the spring shackle should be 7/8" The shackle fits against the spring, there are no spacers. When assembled and with weight on, the spring eye will be below the perch spring...

If you decide to rebuild you may want to rebuild the correct 36 front shock. The lower shock in both photos below is 36, the upper is 35. One of the rebuilders may have original shocks already...

Dave you are correct the brass blocker rings are part of the syncro hub and staked in place. Looking at the rings and their associated groves can give a good idea as to wear. If the rings are loose...

If you idle the car for a while and turn it off, remove air cleaner and view down the carb. turn throttle linkage and you should see two strong streams of gas squirting down the center of the carb....
