About ten years ago my wife bought me a Timex clock radio for Christmas. It claimed it would automatically change for EST and DST. It worked great.
They went and changed the dates for the change so...

I used a couple of spring shackle straps. Attached one end with a bell housing bolt and the other to the rod. Worked great.

I use ShrinkPic which automatically reduces the size for emails etc. It works in the background and you never have to set anything up.

When pulling the crease out try to use the hand tool as much as possible rather than the slide hammer. The slide hammer may stretch the metal more and then you'll have a heck of a mess.

Not knowing what size hole you need if it was me I'd go to Home Depot and buy a hole saw for your drill. They come in popular sizes to probably 2".
