Re: '34 Ford Hood Latch

There are two versions of this latch - early and late. This thread describes them. I have the early style. Hard to see what could be binding it if the spring broke on the early style. Which style...

Re: Fall 2020

Rear end is std. I think it is just an optical illusion from the camera on my I Phone. Like a fish eye lens effect. It doesn't look like that in real life.

Cool Fall 2020

It just turned fall this week, but the leaves are already changing in Western NY. Here's a couple photos I took on my ride yesterday. Post some of your area!

Re: GREAT battery charger recommendation

I was looking for a trickle charger a couple weeks ago for my mother's modern 12 V car that doesn't get driven much. I looked at the Genius products but got scared off by some of the negative...

Re: Hydrostatic fuel gauge innaccurate

BoxCar, I looked online and this is the same fluid from Classic & Exotic. Sounds like they are winding down their business and selling inventory through Straight Eight. I used the Classic &...

Re: 34 Ford Hood latch spring

Mine has the early version. Here are photos of the front and rear latch. Comparing my serial number to what's listed on the Van Pelt website, I would guess my car was built around June of 1934. Of...

Re: Incorrectly mounted Spare Wheels on 1932-1935 Fords

That's where mine is. The position is defined by the mounting bracket. This position puts the drain hole right at the bottom of the wheel, as Mercman has pointed out.

Re: Engine diaper

I have been using one of Whizzernick's diapers for 3 years. It has stayed on even at highway speeds. I put some pigmats in it in the spring and change them out in the fall. It has worked OK for me.

Cool Re: Incorrectly mounted Spare Wheels on 1932-1935 Fords

I didn't know there was a correct way to have the valve when I mounted mine, but I managed to get it on top. I figured it was either top or bottom and since I also had a luggage rack, it was easier...
