Re: Heater no hot air from Heater?

:)
One of our local T-Bird club owners with a '56 moved out of town a couple weeks ago and left me some extra parts, including a '56 4bbl intake manifold, or I wouldn't have known for sure either.

I have a recently disassembled '57 Bird with no resonators and glass pack mufflers, don't know their brand if it matters. Later this week I'll be where it's getting body work and could measure the...

Re: Heater no hot air from Heater?

The top half of the fuel pump is not so much a pump as a vacuum 'booster' for the windshield wipers. One side connects to manifold vacuum, the vacuum is boosted at the other fitting which connects to...

Re: Help Dana 44 is this from a 55 T bird ?

I can only assume the rear axle is correct for the car. The axle housing doesn't have any obvious modifications, the way it fits under the car seems very normal and the wheels & tires fit between the...

Re: 1956 Crown Victoria Skyliner Glasstop

Finding the trim information was a stroke of good luck.
Someone may have color & configuration info somewhere but it doesn't look like Ford was in the habit of saving old paperwork.

"In 1967,...

Re: Help Quick Fuel SL450SV & Y Block 292

A 4bbl to 2bbl adapter flange would be much easier. See the example at this link.
Although probably not as original looking.

Re: High Output Water Pump

No more trouble than changing a stock water pump I'd guess. You'll probably have to re-gasket the water pump spacer at the same time. There is a new pump spacer available with a beveled edge inside...

With a manual or automatic transmission?
2 barrel carburetor ?
If I remember correctly, the '57+ 2bbl carb to intake manifold bolt pattern is 4 bolts, not 3.

Re: Help Quick Fuel SL450SV & Y Block 292

A 400 to maybe 500 cfm 4 barrel carburetor with a vacuum operated secondary is not too big for a 292.

I agree, the color of the center of that spark plug indicates a 'lean' fuel /air mixture.

I...
