Go with a 59a I had a 21 stud in my 36 many years ago expensive to rebuild the 59 is a drop in and can be found at a reasonable price

can I replace a 7/16 stud with a 12mm I have a stripped thread in the block what's the best way to do a fix without removing the head can I drill out the 7/16 threaded hole to the next larger size.

I think to stiffen the floor I replaced mine about 15years ago I made them
with a pieces of treated lumber an T nuts.

Try another coil 12v lots of good aftermarkets some have internal resistors or use a ballast from a Chryler

obsolete ford /classic auto parts has some on backorder 48-2470 because I tryed to order one also.
Try Early V8 garage he may be able to do something.
