Make sure that the soapy water is HOT. It will tend to soften them somewhat.

Stromberg 97 can be bought new: Speedway, Summit, etc., but does not use the same manifold as the Weber.

Most of the vendors supply the 5.5 head. It’s actually a Snyder manufactured part. A very good option upgrade.

If you are "hell-bent" on fixing your 4-blade fan, just drill out the rivets and replace them with aircraft grade bolts and lock nuts. And only do that if everything else about that assembly is A-OK....

I liked Dave’s battery box so much that even though I don’t have juice brakes I had Dave build me a box without the master cylinder and brake levers.

The flywheel housing I had that I thought was perfect turned out to have cracks when it was dye penetrant inspected.

I was able to get a used one without cracks from Berts as a reasonable cost.

I would have to take the award for having to be towed home the longest distance. Just about 600 miles from home. 160 miles of that was with a tow strap on mostly unpaved roads. And they were muddy,...
