Re: leaking head gasket?
I agree 100% on what you said.

Re: new to the model a/forum
Best of luck with your new truck, and welcome to the forum.
Don't worry, if it didn't leak, didn't need better brakes, and didn't need help with the steering it would not be a Model A.

Re: Headlight Help
I went through the same as what Carl mentioned, except I used Logolite.
Yes, you loose the ability to zero in on a light alignment, but the benefits of the LED out weigh that for me.
The LED...

I wouldn't go to a 5.5, but go to a 6.1 instead.
The cost is the same, but the performance is better. I originally had a 4.2, then changed it to a 5.5 and was very happy with the difference. ...

Re: throw-out bearing
The bottom line is, why would we test our luck with Aetna when there are good manufactures out there.

Re: throw-out bearing
Now I am worried. I am going to change it for a Federal Mogul bearing.
I just ordered a NAPA N1087 Tbearing. The box says SKF. The bearing says A-2256 Aetna USA.

Re: Radiator and crank guide question
Chances are you installed the radiator correctly. I am guessing that your radiator is not near stock dimensions.
You have to ask, why was the guide broken to begin with? Did someone brake it...

I agree 100% with Y.
Bob's method would change the sound/vibration of an item, but does nothing to truly soundproof or heat/air proof the car. On top of what Bob did I would apply Dynamat to...

Re: Restoration of Markings on a Fuel Gauge
Similar to Dale, I have buffed many faces on my buffing wheel. Then, I have done the painting two ways using fuel proof paint.
Both ways work well. Either brush it on or use a eye dropper and...
