I went through the process of getting new tubes in August of 2017 and ended up getting tubes from Bert’s Model A. Other vendors tubes had the valve stem off center and I did not want to use them.

In the attached photo note the position of the cotter pin on the Pin Emergency Brake Toggle Lever. The cotter pins need to be inboard so they do not rub against the brake drum. The return springs in...

FWIW

I did not say anything about the springs, I noted that "The emergency brake toggle lever pins are not installed correctly, the pins are in backwards the cotter pin should be behind the lever....

The steel drum has a rolled edge at the outer diameter and the cast iron drum is solid at the outer diameter, see attached photo. Cast Iron drum on the left, steel drum on the right.

FWIW

Looking at the RG&JS I would say the octagonal lever arm knob is correct. Look at the attached RG&JS 12-10 revised 2016 item "W".

FWIW

There is hard bonded and soft bonded, the soft bond you can feel a slight depression with your thumb nail. Soft bonded will work with mechanical brakes and steel and cast iron drums.
