1940 ford steering box

what is the proper way to secure the pin that holds the worm gear on the sector shaft of a 1940 ford car ? I have purchased a complete rebuild kit from Dennis Carpenter.

crank is machined,flywheel and front pulley are balanced.rear seal was installed with a small amount of right stuff rtv

we have a scat crankshaft and one piece seal from snyders installed after the block was line bored and all clearances checked.an oil leak the size of a quarter developed from the rear main area . are...
