Does that spark plug have the screw on end cap, and is it on the plug, and the wire boot might be swelled.

The input shaft does turn in the pilot bearing anytime the clutch is depressed, otherwise you can't get it in gear.

That 16 tooth spline fits late 40's trucks through the 50's pickups, if you can find one with all the same measurments at yours, new ones can be had.

Noise that goes away when the clutch is depressed in most times the transmission input shaft bearing. The input shaft should only have a very small amount of movement if the bearing is good.

To tell, turn the manifold upside down, measure where the manifold rests on the cork gasket, if 5 inches, it's 289, 302, if 7 inches it's 351-W, 351 C engines have a dry intake.

One thing to watch on really rusty freeze plugs, when you drive them in, make sure the center doesn't push in and leave the outer flange stuck in the block.

I put a 272 in a 47 1/2 ton and used ram horn manifolds fit just fine, steering shaft is close though, oil filter is also close, but your 52 I think is a wider frame, I also got a radiator made to...

First check the points for the correct gap, and being clean, check the cap for cracks, and make sure the carbon button in the center is touching the rotor cap spring.

It could be the bushing in the tail housing is worn also.
