We have a couple. One has been on a Slant since the mid 90's no problems.
Wired to main cut off switch circuit so on when you turn on switch and off... well ya know.

I use them on my 29. I replaced them when I put on new Firestones. Best part my local tire store (small town) one of the owners owns Model A's did all 4 tires tubes and flaps for installation fee...

Start with wishbone. Many are worn or loose.
There should be virtually no play up down fore aft.

Do not get confused with crank angle of 40 deg. Set yours up to TDC spark full retard.
Check with timing light and advance. You can expect 26-30 deg.

Delco 1 wire alternator

Just spoke to FSI regarding Electronic Ignition. (we are installing on a AA)

They recommend the Delco single wire 12V.

We also have a Slant with a F150 4 speed. What a wonderful combination for touring!
It will roll at 55 at 2000 rpms all day without effort.

Basic stock engine and 3 speed 3.78 Synder HC 5.1 head which improved performance in hilly KY. and TN.

My Truck loves 42-45 MPH. Will run over 60 on a flat run.

While not original but much safer for touring vehicles is to replace the AMP meter with a volt meter. Voltage is a better indicator of battery condition and you are not pushing all the amp. draw...
