Bob C has it right. There is no fuse, there is no IVR. For example, the fuel gage has two wires connected to it. One from the sending unit and the other the power Bob mentions.

You are correct on the serial number. The data plate should be:
BG70B = 2 Door Sedan
09 = Tahiti Tan
351 = Brown/White Checkered Broadcloth
15K = assembled October 15
169 = rotation number or...

I checked obits after reading this. Sadly, Bob passed away September 23, 2023. He was a great mechanic and helped so many people. He was also a true gentleman. RIP Bob.

Don clearly references the Easter colors in his book. Check the footnotes. They are Desert Sand, Armory Green, Light Fast Maroon, and Bambolino Blue.
