Re: 1930-31 Steering Wheel installation

I believe Marshall got tired of being criticized unfairly by some people on this board, thatís why he sends private messages. I donít blame him for not wanting to have to endlessly justify his posts....

Re: Slamming into first gear

I agree with Chuck. Itís easy to forget to retard the idle after the engine warms up.

I also like to gently push the gearshift down so you can feel when itís ready to go into first gear rather...

Re: Anyone Ever Built or Even Seen, An Original type Greasing Pit?

I noticed the mechanic in the picture was wearing a leather ďbeanieĒ or skull cap and coveralls.

When I was growing up in the late Ď40ís, there was a rental house across the street from our house...

Re: wet floor 30 A rumble seat area

It would probably easier to use a wet/dry vacuum.

Iím sure I would have a real problem washing my roadster, especially since I donít have side curtains. The previous owner told me it was newly...

Re: Devastating Blow

I agree. If the BMW had hit the Model A I think the Model A would have landed in the ditch.

I think the Model A drifted into the path of the BMW and forced it into the ditch because the Model A...

Re: The Terry Burtz 5 main bearing engine blocks are back on track.

Thanks Russ. It’s hard for this old brain to retain all that information.

Re: The Terry Burtz 5 main bearing engine blocks are back on track.

Thank you for your very thorough description of the production process and what to expect in the final product.

From what I’ve read, all the machining will be done so the block will be...

Re: Early '28 hood question

Put it on Craig’s List or E-Bay with an exorbitant price and see if you can reel in a hot rodder. The market will set the price.

Re: Disconnect switch

I donít think anyone can tell you have a 12 volt system by looking under the hood. Even if youíre running an alternator It wonít give your secret away because many people run 6 volt...

Re: LeBarron Bonney name bought by Ekler's

Most companies owned by the the founder or his family establish and maintain a high standard for quality and customer service. Unfortunately, when these companies are bought out by big corporations...

Re: 1930-31 fan shroud ?

From what I’ve read from discussions on this forum, the fan shroud increases the ability of the fan to draw air through the radiator at slow speeds. The shroud does not provide much benefit when the...

Re: Need help to ID '30 roadster top, deluxe vs standard

Roll . . .,

Brookville Roadster sells the top bows and the hardware. I think the Model A supplies do as well.

You can also get the Deluxe stanchions If you don’t have them. I bought the Deluxe...

Re: Aluminum radiator

The Wizard website shows radiators for 1932 cars but none for 1928 - 1931 cars. Did they stop making radiators for Aís?

This thread dates back to January, 2017, so first few pages are already out of date.

What are you going to do with 17 pages of information?

Re: Need help lowering roadster top please

For me, putting the top down or up on my ‘29 Roadster, it’s a lot easier if you make it a two person job. That way, it’s easier to keep from “pinching” the top material. It’s also easier to put the...

Re: Newbie '29 Speedster project, the good the bad and even the ugly (maybe)
