Re: MAC's bought out

My experience with Mac's has been mixed. I ordered two U40 fasteners. These fasteners attach the side curtains to the body via the body sockets. They were out of production for a long time and I...

Mac's has repos of those fasteners. They are UF40 and there is a tool to install them. The tool is UF40T. The price for the UF40 is $8. I ordered one with the tool, but when I installed it, the...

Re: Adjusting Hood body gap

I had a similar problem with my 29 roadster. My car had the gap on the drivers side. I shimmed the right side of the radiator with some fender washers. That moved the forward hinge to the left. ...

Re: Transmision and Rear End Fluid question.

I have the Lucas Hub Oil in my car. I am well satisfied with it. It shifts easily on the upshift and downshift. The tranny is pretty stiff at first on cold days but it will shift ok if I shift at...

Re: No power going uphill

Check that the throttle fully opens when floorboarded. The arm on the firewall that pushes the throttle open was bent on my car. It ran just fine, but had no power when climbing a hill.

Clutch/brake pedal shaft question

I remember reading a post that the bell housing had to be removed so the clutch/brake pedal shaft could be removed from inside out of the bell housing.

I just wondered if anyone has been able to...

Re: Light switch / horn rod removal

If you expand the photo you can see that Randy's problem is that the part of the light switch that fits up into the steering gear and mates with the spider on the end of the horn rod is stuck on the...

Re: 7 tooth steering lower oil seal

I decided to go with the tube, but then found it was too large for the steering shaft. I had a local machinist bore out the shaft to fit the tube. I bored out the rubber gasket so it would fit over...

I have an airplane with a Continental engine. It developed a dead miss while in flight and blew out all but 2 qts from an 8 qt sump. The problem was that the ring gaps were aligned. The piston has...

Re: 29 roadster glass bumper local plus Rocky type brake drums

I measured the rubber bumpers from the edge of the panel to the center of the bumper. I didn't want to pry the bumpers from the panel. By the edge of the panel I mean from the edge of the opening...

Re: Model A Humor

There was an old man who had a wooden leg.
A ride he couldn't steal, a ride he couldn't beg.

He built himself a Ford and the darn thing ran.
