Don't do like I did. Installed the pan with nice new gaskets and seals then went to the shelf where the oil was stored and found the baffle sitting on top of the case of oil.

Why is there no high grade 1/4" flat washers? All I can find in the 1/4" high grade bins measure 5/16".

Probably doesn't make much difference in performance - I'm thinking more in terms of engine health. That being said, with such low compression maybe engine health isn't an issue with inaccurate...

I have been wrong once or twice before. I believe that automatic advance (and retard) is the only optimum way to set the timing for all engine speeds. The how it sounds and feels is too inaccurate....

How big of a crack and where? Strength, now and in the future, may be stronger by welding than replacing with bolts. If you are going to replace use rivets. IMOH

If no oil is coming out of the bell housing drain the leaks are mostly always the rear pan cork gaskets or other areas forward of that point. Oil has a strange way of traveling around under a car...

2 strokes require a certain amount of back pressure that the mfgs. build into the exhaust system. Check for proper muffler.

Correct on the service brake arm. Dust ring value? - questionable.

Pin - equal amount on each side and peen or press upsets on each side.

Grease the shaft before installing.
