Re: 32 3 window door stuff

We can’t blame Bob, he is retired and the way I saw it online his son say’s they let him visit but he no longer calls the shots. The new regime looks to be halting replenishment of a lot of things...

Re: 1932 Question - Doors

The 1928-1938 Hardware and Trimming Supplies book is the one that I referenced regarding the door lock assembly, but it was not helpful in showing window regulators for coupe doors. Printed in 1938...

Re: 1932 Question - Doors

The door lock and remote control assembly as well as the window regulator from the B160 door will work on your B45.
The garnish mouldings are different and do not interchange.

Re: Can someone identify this car

It is a 1930, the two piece face bar was used until that year. 1931 and later Pontiacs went to a one piece face bar.

Re: identify this panel delivery

For me the quickest identifier is the rounded corner of the reveal as compared to the squared corner on the ‘33 and ‘34 Panel Deliveries.

Re: King pins on ‘35

The often mentioned quality of Speedway parts gets tiresome, and really, do we know where anyone sources the merchandise they sell?
I just mic’ed three k/p sets, an old Lion set for ‘35-‘36, a brand...

Bracket ID

A question was posed on the HAMB regarding these parts that appear to be bumper brackets, my WAG is they may be for the rear bumper on a 1936 Standard Panel Delivery. Can anyone positively ID them ?...

Re: USPS damage in shipping

Kube gets it, it is mostly about how things are packaged. If it rattles in the carton it’s not good enough. Something heavy would need plywood, at the very least, inside a carton so it can’t burst...

Re: 1933 ford Victoria

Compare the photos to see the difference. The early ‘33 fenders have the appearance of the Model A or ‘32 fenders, they have a more open look.

Re: Is Jim Gordon's Early Ford Parts in Rosemead, CA still open?

I know Gene Scott, RIP, is deceased but I do not recall when he passed. I had always heard that Jim Gordon was his son in law, and I would expect at least 20 years between their ages, so it could...

Re: Looking for a place in NJ that does vibratory tumbling

You could look into Maker Workshops, there may be one in your area and some have a pretty decent machine shop. They might have a vibratory finisher. There are different shapes of ceramic media,...

Re: Taillights 1933

And your photo also shows the rare, early production non-skirted fenders used on very early ‘33 Fords assembled in Portland, Oregon. The only known examples are all believed to have come from the...

Re: Why not a new casting

I really don’t want to speak for Tod but I don’t think he’s online much to do so for himself. He has said in the past he is a one man band and hasn’t found a good candidate that can help him. In...

Re: USPS damage in shipping

I always get USPS MO’s cashed at my bank and have yet to have an issue of any kind. Easy to do and I can get cash instantly or have the funds deposited into my checking account.

Re: Grease fitting size for 1937 ford spindles

Is there a photo in the new ‘40 Ford book that shows a spindle with 1/8 NPT threads?

Re: 1932 sport coupe

I’d be concerned whether or not the radius of those frames matched the Sport Coupe cowl. For dimensions check Speedway Motors online listings, they give measurements.

Re: 1932 sport coupe

Don’t know for sure but those may be fabricated by Trautwein. Trautwein makes a quality frame but there may be issues with rust starting from the inside. Apparently that is caused by acid not being...

Re: spindles

As rich b said, yes they can be used on a Model A axle, but be advised that the ‘37-‘41’s (also known as round backs) use a king pin 5 1/2” long and the ‘42-‘48 spindles (square back) take a 6” long...
