Re: 1960 Galaxie Clutch Linkage
After a year of collecting parts and disassembling I am preparing to go back together. I was able to find the correct 1960 clutch linkage and pedals. I'm in the process of installing a Borgeson power...

Re: 1960 Galaxie Clutch Linkage
I have found 3 donors all wagons. I will have to catch the guy open and see what he has. I doubt if many wagons were ordered with a manual transmission but maybe I will get lucky.

I have a '60 full size Ford with a 352 that I want to convert from an automatic to a standard. Does anyone know what years of Fords share the same clutch pedals and the associated linkage so I know...

Re: '52 F-1 Engine Swap
I guess a little more info is needed here. This was a "barn find" truck. It's been around Marshfield, Missouri all it's life. It appears it was well used but not abused. I have already installed the...

Re: '52 F-1 Engine Swap
I pulled it from my '56 Fairlane to put in a 312. It was a factory 4 barrel car and I just assumed it was a 292. I've had numerous flatheads in my life and I like them but I plan on using this old...

Re: Frame rot 1956
I have always thought the primary reason for the angled "guard" would be to deflect the frame up and over something instead of just ramming into it.

Re: 55 Fairlane New member/barn find
Well, some of those factory welds back then weren't too pretty but at least you have a good cross member. Yep, that skid plate was there originally . I guess it is there so whatever you hit it will...

Re: 55 Fairlane New member/barn find
Check to see if the front cross member is rusted out. It's a very common problem with these cars. If it is bad you might as well tackle that first.

Here is the backside, it is flipped from the first image but with everything lettered and numbered the same. In this picture the "at rest" or off position would be under A1 & 2 and if turning the...

Re: Lightweight Brake Drum
Well, I have learned a lot here. Here are some better pictures. They are 12" drums, no cooling ribs and are aprox. 6.75" deep from tip of snout to back of drum. I assume those "bumps" on the inside...

Okay, the catalogs all list it by it's self, not that it matters because the only one you can get is for a '40 and it is different. Looks like I will have to cut the top off of mine and weld it on a...

1939 Transmission Cover
Can anyone tell me the difference (or show me) between a '39 standard and a '39 deluxe floorboard transmission cover. Near as I can tell the '39 deluxe is made of that rare metal, Unobtanium.
