Re: flathead torque tube bearing

Vibrations and noise will travel up and down that rear drive line making it very difficult to pinpoint the exact problem and its location. In the past, I've sometimes had to tear down the complete...

Re: 1936 ford deluxe spare tire cap

I believe there is a Forum requirement that you have at least 10 previous posts before you can place an ad on Fordbarn. This might be a requirement to help deter scammers from posting.

Re: Unknown tool ?

Re: 35' p/u gas tank

I have a '36 pu gas tank that's in very nice condition, both inside and outside. It came with a group of parts I bought that were from a planned restoration that never happened.

Re: Cylinder heads

That's a good question, since I have two sets of '37, 21 stud cast iron heads, and only one of the four heads is marked with a part number. The only marking on the other three is a Ford script logo....

Re: gear shift knob/ball

If you are not building a high point show car, there is no reason why you can't use that rubber shifter top cover. It may help seal that opening in the steel sheet metal transmission cover, and also...

Re: gear shift knob/ball

You might consider using a strap wrench to remove that shift knob, preferably one with a leather or rubber strap to prevent scarring the plastic knob.
