Re: installing inner fenders

+1 on Dave's suggestion concerning the bolt threads sitting on the "inside" of the engine compartment to keep things from rusting out.

Re: Need new chrome gas cap

You will find that the 55 stock cap is "deeper" than the 55 station wagon cap, etc. Confusing to say the least, but if you kept the stock gas tank filler neck the one referenced in Dobie's link will...

Re: Ventilation connector?

I blasted the original sheet metal tubes and hardware, painted them with Rustoleum and then use left over hood insulation sheeting to wrap the entire inside diameter. Worked like a charm, cheap and...

Re: 1954-Orphan Ford OHV V8 (Y Block)

I am afraid that this info from your friend does not jive... The difference in the distributor is the tang at the end that fits into the oil pump, not the boss in the block for the distributor. Also,...

Re: thermostat

For what it's worth, I have a 195 Fahrenheit thermostat and I am very happy with it, come summer or winter driving. It's just my opinion but I believe that Y blocks run the best on the hot side of...

Re: Fender anti squeak seal?

Use the staples if you are going "original" on your build. I would think that Ford used staples because of the assembly line and speed requirements for putting things together, not to mention the...

Re: 1955 T-bird coil spring removal and install

Re: 1955 T-bird coil spring removal and install

OP - do you have a shop manual for...

Re: 1955 t-bird door latch loose
