Re: how to remove coil 1941 merc

"rockfla" - I have to defer to "Kube" on this, but it looks like the unit shown in the diagram is a later replacement. I don't have an example of one of those, but it looks like it would be much...

Re: how to remove coil 1941 merc

Kube & Tubman

As I yield to your expertise, does the twice post diagram of the distributor-coil breakdown NOT show the condenser ground strap looping around and being "grounded" via the coil right...

Re: how to remove coil 1941 merc

He has already stated that the coil screw are out of the coil..The condenser ground strap fits under the "Coil" screws, not the distributor bolts, right? NOT to be "smart" BUT I've just had the...

Re: how to remove coil 1941 merc

On no V8 coil does the condenser help hold the coil on! So your condenser should come off with the coil. As I mentioned, being yours in "cracked" "most likely" is causing it to be "extra" tight...

Re: how to remove coil 1941 merc

I believe that the 41 is the same as back to 37...IF so there should be just two machine screws on either side of the coil and the condenser should come off with the coil. Some times they do get a...

Re: 1935 Luggage Rack

Interesting stuff here on the "bumper" portion of this post, to "add" to the variation from the norm is the "Euro" bumpers which "some" did not have the "rabbited" grooves in the bumper (actually...

Re: 5/16" id or 3/8" id fuel hose?

From my days as a sprinkler tech at a local country club golf course the further the distance and bigger diameter the more pressure drop. I would think that 5/16 gives you the lesser "potential" of...

[QUOTE=DavidG;1850601]I'd use drops of metal prep applied spot by spot.[/QUOTE

Re: Otis the drunk got a car

Charlie, it's just the angle and shadow. I've only seen this episode 35 times and I watch it everytime its on just to see the 33. But its a standard 33 sorry for the poor quality picture.

Re: Otis the drunk got a car

I've often wondered, my self. I also wondered myself IF it would be possible to research old studio records to see when and to whom the car was sold to at the point it was "liquidated" and then...

Re: New member, new project

Welcome to the Fordbarn. Nice 35 Sedan....I always loved the looks of the 2 and 4 door slant backs. Hopefully you ditch the whitewall tires, get a good generator, get it running good and drive...

Re: Otis the drunk got a car

The episode is called "Hot Rod Otis". It is one sweet 33 Cabriolet. Got to see the whole episode, get to hear it crank and run, unmistakable FLathead V8. Great episode and in the end Charlie...

Re: 1933 vs 1934 v8 engine spash pans

Frank West
Not sure what you were asking with this post, it started with engine tins and turned into fender splash aprons. SO here are both for 33, 4 cyl engine splash tins and 33 inner fender...

Re: 1933 vs 1934 v8 engine spash pans

Re: 1933 vs 1934 v8 engine spash pans

Yes, that goes between the fender and engine of the car, runs from the radiator to the firewall (if you will) and those are different from 33 to 34 as well up at the front by the radiator (I...
